Trump implores gun owners to vote, promises to roll back Biden rules infringing 2nd Amendment
"If gun owners voted, we would swamp them (Democrats) at levels no one has ever seen before," he later said.
Endorsed anew by the National Rifle Association, presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump implored gun owners on Saturday night to vote in November as he vowed to roll back Biden-era gun restrictions and fire the head of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
"We've got to get gun owners to vote," he said. "Because you know what? I don't know what it is. Perhaps it's a form of rebellion because you are rebellious people...but gun owners don't vote. What is that all about?"
"If gun owners voted, we would swamp them (Democrats) at levels no one has ever seen before," he later said.
He told the gun owners to be rebellious and vote in the 2024 election, and encouraged those in the audience to get their friends to vote in the election.
"It's the most important election in the history of our country," he said.
If elected, Trump vowed to fire the ATF Director while also rolling back President Joe Biden’s gun restrictions.
“In my second term, we will roll back every Biden attack on the Second Amendment. The attacks are coming fast and furious," Trump said.
Trump received the endorsement of the NRA on Saturday prior to his speech.
"We're going to win this election at levels that nobody's ever seen before. Thank you very much for that endorsement – means a lot to me," he said.
