Harris raised more than $300 million in August: Report

The Harris campaign and its associated groups raised more than $300 million in August, NBC News reported, citing "two sources familiar with the Harris fundraising numbers."

By contrast, the Trump campaign raised $130 million in the same period, slightly less than its July haul of $138.7 million.

Since taking the helm of the Democratic campaign, Harris has managed to bring in significant sums to fuel her political operation. 

President Joe Biden, in June, brought in $127 million. Harris, however, raised $310 million in July, more than doubling her predecessor's total, and that of her opponent.

The fundraising advantage is sure to prove of benefit to the Harris campaign as they seek to crowd out Trump on the airwaves and in the field.
