MTG defends accused Ukraine docs leaker
"Ask yourself who is the real enemy?" she tweeted.
Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Thursday defended the Air National Guardsman accused of leaking classified intelligence on the Russo-Ukrainian War.
"Jake Teixeira is white, male, [C]hristian, and antiwar. That makes him an enemy to the Biden regime. And he told the truth about troops being on the ground in Ukraine and a lot more," she tweeted. His name is Jack.
Teixeira, 21, was arrested in Massachusetts on Thursday for allegedly posting classified materials on a Discord server dubbed Thug Shaker Central. The server included enthusiasts of war games. One of Teixeira's friends indicated that he had merely sought to inform them about the conflict.
Green repeated the friend's description of Teixeira and suggested that the Biden administration sought to silence him for undermining the government's narrative on the conflict.
"Ask yourself who is the real enemy? A young low level national guardsmen? Or the administration that is waging war in Ukraine, a non-NATO nation, against nuclear Russia without war powers?" she continued.
