Georgia Republicans Walker, Kemp lead Democratic opponents, poll
More voters are confident Kemp will win his race than they are that Walker will.
Georgia Republican Senate nominee Herschel Walker is leading Democrat incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock by two points, while the GOP Gov. Brian Kemp leads Democrat challenger Stacey Abrams by four points, according to a new poll.
Walker, who is endorsed by former President Donald Trump, leads Warnock 46-44%, with 7% still undecided, according to the Emerson College poll released Tuesday.
Kemp, who beat Abrams in 2018, leads 48-44%, with 2% undecided.
However, more likely voters are confident Kemp will win than they are for Walker, a former NFL star.
Most voters (53%) said Warnock will win, compared to 47% for Walker.
Nearly three-out of-five Georgia voters (58%) in the survey responded that Kemp will will reelection while 42% responded that Abrams will win.
The poll was conducted Aug. 28-29 among 600 likely general election voters with a 3.9% margin of error.
