Half of all Americans say they "know God exists and have no doubts" about it as belief in God remains at an all-time low, according to a new poll.

The University of Chicago's NORC research organization released its 2022 General Social Survey last week, and it showed that overall 66% of Americans believe in God, with and without doubts. Meanwhile, 20% of Americans believe in "some higher power" or believe in God sometimes, the poll shows.

Young people's belief in God is at an all-time low, with just 36% of respondents between the ages of 18-34 saying they know God exists without a doubt and 10% saying they don't believe in God.

More than a third of Americans, 34%, say they never attend church, including 40% of people ages 18-34 who said so, the poll also showed.
