Former President Donald Trump this week released his first major ad attacking Vice President Kamala Harris over her performance as "border czar."

The 30-second video highlights the roughly 10 million illegal border crossings during the Biden administration, more than 250,000 fentanyl deaths, the violent criminal acts committed by illegal entrants to the U.S., and the mounting fears of terrorist activity.

"This is America's border czar and she's failed us," the ad declares. "Kamala Harris: failed, weak, and dangerously liberal."

The broader ad purchase includes more than $13 million spent over the primary battleground states, including Pennsylvania ($2.7 million), Georgia ($2.3 million), Michigan ($2.3 million), Arizona ($1.9 million), Nevada ($1.8 million), and Wisconsin ($1.3 million), the New York Times reported, citing data from AdImpact.

Biden appointed Harris as border czar in 2021 and media outlets referred to her by that title at the time, though they have since attempted to walk back that designation amid Republican criticisms of Harris on the issue.

Her chief spokeswoman at the time insisted that she was "not doing the border" and was instead assigned to "take on the diplomatic effort, with Mexico and countries in the northern triangle to address the root causes of migration."
