The United Auto Workers Union on Tuesday announced that it had filed federal labor charges against former President Donald Trump and X platform owner Elon Musk over alleged worker intimidation.

The announcement followed the pair hosting an X space on Monday evening that Musk claimed drew more than 1 billion impressions.

The union pointed to that interview, saying that "Trump and Musk had a rambling, disorganized conversation on Monday evening in front of over one million listeners in which they advocated for the illegal firing of striking workers."

“When we say Donald Trump is a scab, this is what we mean. When we say Trump stands against everything our union stands for, this is what we mean,” UAW President Shawn Fain said.

Trump and Fain have traded barbs publicly in recent months. The union endorsed President Joe Biden, before eventually endorsing Harris. Trump has warned that union leadership is out of touch with its base and that Democratic-driven electric vehicle mandates would adversely impact the industry as a whole.
