Vance says Trump, Kemp are big enough to put the needs of the US over disagreements with each other
"The president has some personal disagreements with Brian Kemp and Brian Kemp has some personal disagreements with the president," Vance said. "But they're both big enough put the country over personal interests."
GOP Vice Presidential nominee J.D. Vance said Wednesday that Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and former President Donald Trump are willing to put the needs of the United States over their personal disagreements with one another.
A CNN reporter asked Vance during a rally in Erie, Pennsylvania, about Kemp and Trump's relationship as in the past they have taken shots at and disagreed with each other publicly.
"The president has some personal disagreements with Brian Kemp and Brian Kemp has some personal disagreements with the president," Vance said. "But they're both big enough put the country over personal interests."
Earlier this month, Kemp and Trump put out statements of support for one another, ending the feud between the both of them that had gone on for years.
Vance pointed out that the GOP is a "big tent" party and that Trump had recently gotten the support of former Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard and former Democrat-turned-Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
"We stand for common sense and sanity and we've got to kick that insane politician named Kamala Harris out of the White House," Vance said.
