Amy Bos: FTC's demands for Elon Musk, X have exceeded agency’s legal purview

Amy Bos, Director of State and Federal Affairs at Netchoice, says the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has overstepped its legal boundaries in its pursuit of Elon Musk following his acquisition of social media platform X. Bos adds that FTC Chair Lina Khan’s request for a 25% raise is “laughable” considering the agency’s lack of work. “We’ve seen consumer fraud rise dramatically under Lina Khan. It’s up 300% over the past four years,” she says.
