Gorilla mistaken as male gives birth at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
Zookeepers at Ohio's Columbus Zoo and Aquarium were surprised to discover that an eight-year-old gorilla named Sully, previously identified as male, gave birth to a newborn baby gorilla. The zoo attributed the mistaken gender identification to a "hands-off approach" in her care. A DNA test will be conducted later to determine the father of the newborn gorilla.
