Nashville Council vote unanimously to re-appoint Justin Jones to Tennessee House

The Nashville Metropolitan Council voted unanimously Monday evening to reinstate Justin Jones to the Tennessee House of Representatives. Before voting on whether to restore Jones to his former position, the Council first voted to suspend a procedural rule that prevented anyone else from being appointed to the seat. Jones was expelled from the House last Thursday for participating in a gun-reform protest on the chamber’s floors.
