Sen. McConnell speaks on debt deal: ‘Speaker McCarthy and House Republicans deserve our thanks’

In an address to the Senate floor on Tuesday, Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and House Republicans “deserve our thanks” for their role in negotiating a deal on the budget limit.
