Sirens wake West Japan residents amid reports of North Korea missile launch

A loud siren wailed in Japan’s Niigata Prefecture on the morning of November 3rd, amid warnings of a North Korean missile launch. Media citing South Korean Joint Chiefs reported North Korea launched an unidentified ballistic missile toward the Sea of Japan on Thursday, Nov. 3rd. Civil protection information released by the office of Japan’s Prime Minister urged residents in prefectures, including Miyagi, Yamagata, and Niigata to evacuate inside a building or underground.
