THROWBACK: Nancy Pelosi says the President doesn’t have the power of student debt cancellation

During her weekly press conference on July 28th, 2021, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stated the President doesn’t have the power of “debt forgiveness” and confirms the power to forgive and cancel debts resides with congress: “The President can only postpone, delay, but not forgive.”
