US government orders Nvidia and AMD to stop selling AI chips to China

China won't be getting some high-tech items from the U.S. for the time being. Nvidia and AMD said Wednesday the US government ordered them to stop selling certain microchips that can be used for artificial intelligence to Beijing. This ban, which went into effect immediately, includes NVidia’s A-100 and upcoming H-100 integrated circuits and any related systems.
