World’s oldest Nobel prize winner, John Goodenough, dies at 100 years old

John B. Goodenough, the Nobel Prize-winning engineer whose contributions to developing lithium-ion batteries revolutionized portable technology, died on Sunday---just a few weeks before what would have been his 101st birthday. Goodenough was 97 when he received the 2019 Nobel Prize for Chemistry, making him the oldest recipient of a Nobel prize. His cause of death has not been released.
