North Korean media reports that Kim Jong Un is alive and making public appearances
The leader's absence from several high profile public events has fueled rumors of his death
According to reports by North Korean state media, the country’s leader, Kim Jong Un, visited a fertilizer plant on Saturday. This would be Kim’s first public appearance in three weeks amid reports that he is dead.
Reports have circled in the past weeks that the dictator may have fallen seriously ill, be in a vegetative state, or have died following cardiovascular surgery.
However, North Korean state broadcaster Korea Central Television reported that Kim visited the Sunchon Phosphatic Fertlizer Factory on Friday.
