Ohio congressman's niece died in Seoul Halloween stampede
Gieske was studying abroad in South Korea while pursuing an education in nursing at the University of Kentucky.
The niece of Ohio Republican Rep. Brad Wenstrup died over the weekend during the deadly stampede in Seoul, South Korea, that left more than 150 dead and roughly another 150 injured.
"Monica and I, and our entire family, are grieving the loss of our niece Anne Marie Gieske. She was a gift from God to our family," Wenstrup announced, per Fox News. "We loved her so much."

A night of Halloween revelry turned deadly when enormous crowds massed in the South Korean capital of Seoul's Itaewon neighborhood and triggered a stampede. A total of 97 women and 56 men have died in the incident, per the outlet, while a further 133 sustained injuries.
