Princess Kate spotted leaving Windsor Castle with William after admitting to editing photo
Princess Kate has not made a public appearance since she underwent abdominal surgery in January.
Catherine, the Princess of Wales, was spotted leaving Windsor Castle in a car alongside her Prince William on Monday after she admitted earlier in the day to editing a photo that she posted for U.K. Mother's Day.
Princess Kate has not made a public appearance since she underwent abdominal surgery and spent nearly two weeks in the hospital in January. Kensington Palace, the home of the future British king and queen, said at the time that she is unlikely to return to her public duties until after Easter.
The photo that emerged Monday of Kate and William showed the couple in the back of a chauffeured vehicle. William was heading to Westminster Abbey for the annual Commonwealth Day service, although Middleton plans on attending a private appointment instead, according to Page Six and The Mirror.
Earlier in the day, the princess, also known as Kate Middleton, issued an apology for sharing an image of herself and her three children on Sunday after multiple news agencies issued a "kill" notification to retract the photo over editing concerns.
"Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused," Kate said on X, formerly Twitter.
The picture had been the first official image of the princess since her surgery.
