Pro-Russia online influencer Vladlen Tatarsky died in an explosion Sunday in a cafe at the center of St. Petersburg, Russia, according to state media.

The explosion injured 15 people, Russian-controlled media outlet TASS reported, as translated.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that blogger and war correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky died.

The explosive device was in a figurine that a patron in the cafe gave to the blogger, according to state-controlled outlet RIA Novosti, as translated.
