Anne Hathaway wants the world to know that she stands with the pro-democracy and women’s rights movement activists who are battling the theocratic regime in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The 40-year old “Devil Wears Prada” star flashed a pro-feminist T-shirt when during an interview with ABC’s “The View” on Friday.

The white shirt was covered with a red print repeatedly promoting Iranian feminist Mahsa Amini’s name, a 22-year old who was killed by Iran’s morality police.

Amini’s death last year, which came after she was arrested for not wearing a hijab in public ignited massive pro-feminist protests throughout the Middle Eastern country.

The “Bride Wars” star isn’t the first actress to sport pro-Amini clothing. In November 2022, redhead actress Jessica Chastain wore the same shirt by Mr. Saturday, just two months after the 22-year-old Iranian woman’s was killed.

In the wake of the 2022 protests, other stars such as “Damage” star Juliette Binoche and “Allied” seductress Marion Cotillard both cut their hair and publicly announced it was in solidarity with Iranian females.

The actresses’ support of Amini and pro-democracy dissidents is in line with the policies of the U.S. State Department.

“The United States supports the Iranian people’s struggle for human rights, democracy, and freedom.

The regime’s greatest victims are the Iranian people. Regime elites squander the people’s resources and opportunities, while suppressing freedom and basic human rights,” the State Department’s website says.

Hathaway’s appearance on “The View” came after she interviewed with “Good Morning America” Thursday, all part of a media tour to promote her new film “She Came to Me,” which is opening Friday.

According to the State Department, Iran is the world’s largest sponsor of terrorism.

“To counter the regime’s destabilizing and malign behavior both at home and abroad, the United States is pursuing a maximum pressure campaign to deprive the regime of the resources it needs to brutalize its own people and fuel terrorism abroad,” the State Department says on its website.
