Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be able to move forward in forming a new government even as he faces prosecution over corruption related charges as the nation's Supreme Court on Wednesday declined to support petitions seeking to block Netanyahu over the prosecution.

The New York Times also reports that the nation's high court also did not choose to stop Netanyahu and rival politician Benny Gantz from engaging in a power-sharing deal that they reached in order to prevent a fourth election after neither man secured decisive victories in three consecutive elections.
