Iranian missile strikes hit two communities near Israel’s primary nuclear research site, wounding more than 100 people in the country’s south. The attack marked the first time the facility has been targeted since the war began three weeks ago.

The strikes came just hours after Iran’s Natanz nuclear enrichment facility was hit in an airstrike, an operation Israel’s military has reportedly denied carrying out.

Israel’s military said it was unable to intercept the Iranian missiles that hit the cities of Dimona and Arad, the largest population centers near the facility in the sparsely populated Negev desert.
