Russia says suspect detained in connection to killing of a senior general in Moscow
Kirillov, a senior general, and his assistant were killed by a bomb that was hidden inside of a scooter that was parked outside of his apartment building on Tuesday in Moscow.
Russia’s security service said on Wednesday that it has detained a suspect in connection to the killing of Lt. Gen. Igor Kirillov in Moscow, according to the Associated Press.
The AP reported that the Ukrainian intelligence services recruited the suspect, who is a Uzbek citizen.
Kirillov, a senior general, and his assistant were killed by a bomb that was hidden inside of a scooter that was parked outside of his apartment building on Tuesday in Moscow.
Ukraine’s security service filed criminal charges against him the day before. According to the AP, a Ukrainian official said the service was behind the attack.
