Top USA gymnast Simone Biles wins gold in Paris Olympics in women's all-around competition

U.S. Olympic gymnast Simone Biles on Thursday won a gold medal in the women's all competition in Paris.

She held off Brazil’s Rebeca Andrad for the top finish, according to the Associated Press.  Fellow American Suni Lee took bronze.

The 27-year-old Biles is now the oldest Olympic women’s gymnastics champ since 1952, the wire service also reports. The victory is also a comeback in that Biles dropped out of the 2020 Olympics.
