Ukraine reports Russian airstrikes on Kiev, across entire country
Among regions where officials reported strikes were Lviv, in the west, and Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city in the northeast.
Ukrainian authorities on Tuesday morning report a barrage of Russian airstrikes on capital city Kiev and across the country, setting residential buildings ablaze.
The strikes follow what had been days of optimism in Ukraine for one of the country's biggest military successes against Russian – the retaking last week of the southern city of Kherson – in its nearly nine-month invasion.
Among regions where officials reported strikes were Lviv, in the west, and Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city in the northeast, according to the Associated Press.
