U.S. and Britain accuse Iran of providing missiles to Russia for use in Ukraine war, vow sanctions
“Russia has now received shipments of these ballistic missiles and will likely use them within weeks in Ukraine, against Ukrainians,” Blinken said during a visit to London.
The United States and Britain accused Iran on Tuesday of providing short-range ballistic missiles to Russia for the war in Ukraine, and vowed to response to those involved through sanctions.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, speaking alongside British Foreign Secretary David Lammy announced that the specific sanctions would be revealed later in the day on Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.
“Russia has now received shipments of these ballistic missiles and will likely use them within weeks in Ukraine, against Ukrainians,” Blinken said during a visit to London. “The supply of Iranian missiles enables Russia to use more of its arsenal for targets that are further from the front line.”
