Bill Maher, host of HBO's Real Time With Bill Maher, said on the "Overtime" segment of his show Friday that the reason Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris didn't win the presidency was because she was unlikable.

During that segment, ABC News contributor Sarah Isgur argued that Harris was "set up to fail" by the Democrats.

Isgur argued that Harris only had three months to appeal to the American people, which wasn't enough time.

"You're saying three months wasn't long enough?" Maher asked Isgur, according to Fox News. "It was long enough. It's not that they didn't have time to introduce — they met someone and they didn't like 'em."

MSNBC analyst John Heilemann attempted to defend Harris, saying President Joe Biden's lack of popularity negatively impacted Harris.

Earlier, during his opening monologue, Maher came down hard on his Democrat friends. He had predicted that Harris would win.

"My message to the losers: Losers look in the mirror! For months, Democrats have been saying how is this even close? And they're right, it wasn't," said Maher while acknowledging that Trump had won fairly easily, according to the Daily Mail

He criticized Democrats for having become the party of college educated elites and identity politics: "You’re brats, and you’re snobs, and people don’t like that."

Biden ended his re-election bid in July and endorsed Harris, ensuring that she became the Democratic nominee.

President-elect Donald Trump won the 2024 election earlier this week, winning the popular vote and the electoral college.
