Bill Cosby, 85, disgraced comedian and former star of "The Cosby Show," was accused of sexual assault by nine more women filing suit, with one case dating as far back as 1979, just weeks after Nevada law prohibiting bringing forward such charges after two years was repealed.

The Nevada law, signed by Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo on May 31st, eliminated a two-year deadline for adults to file sexual abuse cases. These latest accusations against him are all based on alleged events that span from 1979-1992.

One of the accusers, Lise Lotte-Lublin, said in a statement reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, "For years I have fought for survivors of sexual assault and today is the first time I will be able to fight for myself." She then added, "With the new law change, I now have the ability to take my assailant Bill Cosby to court. My journey has just begun, but I am grateful for this opportunity to find justice."

Like many of his other accusers, Lotte-Lublin claims that Cosby drugged and raped her. This, she claims happened in 1989, and when she later tried to sue him, she was unable because of the now repealed law.

A Los Angeles jury recently awarded $500,000 to a woman who claims to have been sexually abused by Cosby when she was 16 at the Playboy Mansion in 1975, The Associated Press reports.

After a new law in California that suspends the statute of limitations on sex abuse claims, a former Playboy model reportedly claims Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her and another woman at his home in 1969.

Cosby publicist Andrew Wyatt was critical of these laws, the AP reports, in a statement on Wednesday.

“Mr. Cosby is a Citizen of these United States," Wyatt said, "but these judges and lawmakers are consistently allowing these civil suits to flood their dockets—knowing that these women are not fighting for victims—but for their addiction to massive amounts of media attention and greed.”

More than 60 women have now accused Cosby of different forms of sexual misconduct.
