Ford Motor Company deletes series of antisemitic X posts, says account was hacked
"Ford Motor Company must have been hacked by the Free Palestine movement," Democratic New York Rep. Ritchie Torres wrote on social media.
Ford Motor Company has deleted a series of antisemitic posts on social media platform, X, stating that the account was hacked.
Ford told Fox Business in a statement that the account was compromised and is investigating what happened.
"Our X account was briefly compromised and the previous three posts were not authorized or posted by Ford," the statement reads.
The messages that were deleted Monday included "Israel is a terrorist state," and "Free Palestine," according to the news outlet.
"Ford Motor Company must have been hacked by the Free Palestine movement," Democratic New York Rep. Ritchie Torres wrote on social media.
However, another use suggested the posts were intentional.
"Ford Motor Company was founded by an antisemite and Nazi sympathizer and it seems they’ve opted today to stay on brand," the user wrote.
