Attorney General Pam Bondi testifies before House Judiciary Committee
Among the questions Bondi is expected to face are ones related to her agency's handling of the so-called Epstein Files
Attorney General Pam Bondi will testify Wednesday morning before the House Judiciary Committee.
The hearing is to "examine the mission and programs of the Department of Justice," according to the committee.
Among the questions Bondi is expected to face are ones related to her agency's handling of the so-called Epstein Files – millions of pages of documents regarding the deceased financier and convicted sex offender and his connection to some of the world's most powerful men.
Congress passed legislation several months ago requiring the department to release all of the documents by a specific deadline. But the agency has been delayed in meeting the deadline, citing the massive amount of documents and the need to redact information to protect victims and others.
Bondi is also expected to face questions about FBI agents having seized 2020 election ballots in Georgia last month to examine them for alleged voter fraud.
Bondi is also likely to face questions about her Department’s involvement in the Trump administrations’s immigration crackdown in Minnesota, according to NewsMax.com.
