Congressman Eli Crane, R-Ariz., said the Biden administration is stonewalling elected officials who bring up the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border.

"When dealing with this administration... they don't want you to know and they try to stonewall representatives who are very intent on securing our border from getting the information that we need to keep this country safe," Crane said on the Tuesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show.

Over 189,000 migrants arrived at the southern border just in the month of February.

Other GOP elected officials have predicted that the border won't be secure unless America elects a new president.

Crane said that it is important that no matter what, GOP officials keep questioning Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on the border and get him to answer for the ongoing problems.

"It's important that we continue to hold his feet to the fire, and it was very disappointing to see the U.S. Senate not ... being willing to take up the articles of impeachment against Secretary Mayorkas," he said.

Earlier this year, the GOP-controlled House voted to impeach Mayorkas over his handling of the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border.

After the House sent the impeachment articles to the Senate, the Senate killed both articles without a trial or debate last week.
