Prominent Jan. 6 investigator Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., wants to know if the House will exact equal justice for those who defy congressional subpoenas following the sentencing of former Trump advisor, Peter Navarro.

"My question to them was, 'if someone defies our subpoena, is the same punishment gonna apply to them?'" Loudermilk said on the Tuesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "Is there going to be equal justice across the board?"

Navarro was sentenced on Thursday to four months in prison following his conviction in September on two counts of congressional contempt after he defied a subpoena from the former House select committee that probed the Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol riot. Navarro was found guilty of one contempt count related to his refusal to appear for a deposition and another count related to his refusal to produce documents in response to the congressional subpoena.

Observers wonder if a similar fate awaits Hunter Biden.

Loudermilk, who chairs the House Admission Subcommittee on Oversight, has requested documents and information from Jan. 6 witness Cassidy Hutchinson and White House officials regarding the Capitol riot. He further stated that he had not received the requested materials.

"If the White House doesn't respond to our subpoena....this White House....will they be facing the same type of punishment?" he asked. "That'll be interesting to see as we go forward."
