Pelosi won't say if she thinks Biden should stay in race or exit: 'Whatever he decides, we go with'
Pelosi said she's told Democrats to hold off on "whatever you're thinking" until after the NATO summit in Washington, D.C., which Biden is participating in this week.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi declined to say on Wednesday whether she thinks President Biden should stay in the presidential race.
"Whatever he decides, we go with," Pelosi said on MSNBC when pressed on her personal view of Biden's candidacy after his poor debate performance.
Pelosi said she's told Democrats to hold off on "whatever you're thinking" until after the NATO summit in Washington, D.C., which Biden is participating in this week.
"You don't have to put that out on the table until we see how we go this week," she said.
A reporter caught up with Pelosi in a hallway on Capitol Hill Wednesday who declined to comment further on whether Biden should stay in the race.
"Am I speaking English to you?" she said. "I’m not going to be making any statements about any of that right now in the hallway."
When pressed on the issue, Pelosi said she still thinks Biden can win in November.
