Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., was still speaking at the Oldham County Republican Party's Lincoln Day Dinner on Friday night when the mic at the podium was snatched away.

Emcee and state House Speaker David Osborne, R-Prospect, grabbed the mic in the now viral video as Massie was saying he works for his constituents, not the speaker of the House.

Massie can be seen in the video quickly leaving the podium and walking back to his seat.

Massie, who often breaks from GOP leadership on spending bill votes, said he later left the dinner and had drinks at Ernesto's Mexican Cuisine in La Grange with supporters who exited the event after he was cut off.

"People are saying I stormed off after my speech. They had us seated so far in the corner, it looks like I'm storming out of the place," said Massie, who led the charge with Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., to pass a bill to force the release of the full Epstein files. "I walked over and sat down for a while until I noticed other people leaving, and I thought, 'Well, if they're going to leave, I'm going to go outside and thank them.' And then we ended up going for drinks."
