An anonymous plaintiff that accused rappers Jay-Z and Sean "Diddy" Combs of raping her at a party in 2000, when she was just 13, dropped her sexual assault lawsuit against them Friday.

The lawsuit, which was originally filed in October in Manhattan against Combs, claimed the assault happened in 2000 after she was driven to an MTV Video Music Awards after-party. The plaintiff, only referred to as "Jane Doe," amended the lawsuit in December to include Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter.

The plaintiff claimed in the court documents on Friday that the charges were "voluntarily dismissed" in New York with prejudice, but no additional information has been released so far, CBS News reported.

"Today is a victory. The frivolous, fictitious and appalling allegations have been dismissed," Jay-Z said in a statement posted on X. "This civil suit was without merit, and never going anywhere ... I would not wish this experience on anyone. The trauma my wife, my children, loved ones ,and I have endured can never be dismissed."

The rapper claimed the Justice system had failed by allowing the lawsuit to be brought in the first place, accusing the lawyer who filed the lawsuit of trying to make a "money grab" without any repercussions.

"The court must protect victims OF COURSE, while with the same ethical responsibility, the courts must protect the innocent from being accused without a shred of evidence," he continued. "May the truth prevail for all victims and those falsely accused equally."

Combs still faces at least 23 other sexual misconduct lawsuits so far, along with a criminal sex-trafficking case. He has been charged with racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. He is currently incarcerated at a prison in New York, pending his May 5 trial.
