NYC DA Bragg opposes dismissing Trump charges in hush money case but supports delay, new docs show

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office outlined alternatives to dismissing President-elect Trump’s charges in the hush money case but would agree to delaying his sentencing while he is in office serving his second term, court documents revealed on Tuesday. 

The brief elaborates on the options Bragg could pursue but does not make a determination on the path forward. 

“The extreme remedy of dismissing the indictment and vacating the jury verdict is not warranted in light of multiple alternative accommodations that would fully address the concerns raised by presidential immunity,” wrote Assistant District Attorney Christopher Conroy.
