Nathan Wade on his relationship with Fani Willis: 'Workplace romances are as American as apple pie'
“I regret that that private matter became the focal point of this very important prosecution,” Wade says
Nathan Wade, the former prosecutor who worked on former President Trump's Georgia case, said that he doesn't regret his romantic relationship with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis during an interview airing Monday.
"Workplace romances are as American as apple pie," Wade said, according to ABC News.
When asked directly if he regretted having the affair, Wade responded, saying, "I regret that that private matter became the focal point of this very important prosecution."
He added that "this is a very important case."
Wade resigned from the case in March over his relationship with Willis. A judge had ruled that either he or Willis needed to remove themselves from the case.
