Former Trump White House adviser Steve Bannon is expected to plead guilty in connection with fraud charges related to fundraising for a U.S. southern border wall.

The deal with New York state prosecutors will allow Bannon to avoid prison time, according to legal trade publication Law360, which first reported the story.

The trial was expected to begin later this month, according to Reuters.
