China leader Xi Jinping to Russia next week to meet with Putin
China has not condemned Russia's roughly13-month invasion of neighboring Ukraine, as the United State and other Western nations
China President Xi Jinping will make a three-day visit next week to Russia, both countries announced Friday.
Xi will got to Moscow from Monday to Wednesday. Though neither side has said what Xi and Russian leader Vladimir Putin will discuss, Russia's invasion of Ukraine will almost certainly be a major topic of discussion.
China has not condemned Russia's roughly13-month invasion of neighboring Ukraine, as the United States and other Western nations have, and last year declared it has a "no-limits" to its friendship with Russia, according to the Associated Press.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Putin and Xi will have a one-on-one meeting Monday and that broader talks involving officials from both countries are scheduled for Tuesday. However, he would not provide details about the discussions, the wire service also reports.
