In one of the latest waves of documents made public from the U.S. Justice Department’s massive release of files tied to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, previously unpublished email exchanges have placed LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman in Epstein’s orbit. 

The material was part of a multi-million-page disclosure under the Epstein Files Transparency Act. The documents include scheduling notes and internal correspondence that reference events and travel involving Hoffman and Epstein.

The emails and memos, which do not allege any criminal conduct by Hoffman, show planning for visits to several of Epstein’s well-known properties. 

One memo from 2014 mentions Hoffman spending the night at Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse on New York’s Upper East Side, an address Epstein used as one of his primary bases. 

Other scheduling entries suggest Hoffman and Japanese venture capitalist Joi Ito were expected to spend a weekend at Epstein’s New Mexico ranch, and reference travel arrangements that would take Hoffman from the West Coast toward Epstein’s private Caribbean island, Little St. James.

Another portion of the documents shows Epstein’s assistant informing Hoffman that the financier had found the tech leader’s passport in a gift bag. A later email from Epstein read, “Larry and me and your passport," which was most likely a reference to former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers.
