Massachusetts man arrested for allegedly vandalizing Trump campaign sign with swastika

According to a Cohasset police report filed in Quincy District Court, when police arrested the suspect, he said, "guilty," and "what took you so long?"

A man was arrested on Thursday in Massachusetts for allegedly spray-painting a swastika on a campaign sign for former President Donald Trump.

The sign was placed outside of the home of a Republican official in Cohasset, Massachusetts.

Investigators were able to find Frederic Laidlaw, the suspect, through a video shared with investigators through Nextdoor.

According to a Cohasset police report filed in Quincy District Court, when police arrested the suspect, he said, "guilty," and "what took you so long?" 

He has been charged with defacing property. 

Local media reports said Laidlaw allegedly apologized before he was formally taken into custody.
