Accused Pentagon leaker Jack Teixeira was reportedly warned multiple times about his handling of classified materials, a court filing has revealed.

The revelation stems from a disclosure that Department of Justice attorneys made while asking a judge to keep Teixeira in prison ahead of his trial, according to the Associated Press.

Teixeira, a Massachusetts Air National Guardsman, faces allegations that he shared classified information involving the Ukraine War in a Discord group chat. He allegedly uploaded hundreds of pages of materials to the server. Teixeira has not entered a plea.

The DOJ disclosed three memos referencing his handling of classified materials.

The first dates from September 2022 and notes that Teixeira had been asked to stop taking notes on classified intelligence. The second dates from October of the same year and reveals that Teixeira's superior had been made aware he was "potentially ignoring the cease-and-desist order on deep diving into intelligence information" from September.

A third memo from February of 2023 reveals that he was observed accessing materials unrelated to his post and noted his receipt of prior warnings.

Teixeira is seeking release to his father's home ahead of the trial. He faces charges under the Espionage Act.
