Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro is not endorsing a fellow Democrat to be the party nominee for state treasurer, after she backed somebody else to be Kamala Harris' vice presidential running-mate.

Erin McClelland is the Democratic nominee running to unseat incumbent Republican Stacy Garrity.

McClelland was critical of Shaprio in July after President Biden left the presidential race and endorsed Harris, who quickly began her search for a running mate.

"I want a VP pick that’s secure enough to be second under a woman, is content to be VP & won’t undermine the President to maneuver his own election & doesn’t sweep sexual harassment under the rug. I want someone that can speak to rural voters. That is @RoyCooperNC," she wrote on X on July 23.
