Ex-Trump National Security Advisor John Bolton says President-elect Donald Trump nominee for FBI director, Kash Patel "doesn't belong" at the agency.

Bolton, whom Trump fired during his first administration, made his argument in a Wall Street Journal op-ed published Tuesday.

His main arguments are that when Patel worked under him at the NCS he was not qualified and that he was more interested in climbing the MAGA world latter than do his job.

Bolton, who is also a former United Nations ambassador for the U.S., said Patel upon joining the NCS in 2019 "lack[ed] policy credentials" and "proved to be less interested in his assigned duties than in worming his way into Mr. Trump’s presence."
