The Los Angeles Dodgers are scheduled to meet President Donald Trump at the White House later this month, the White House confirmed Thursday, marking their second visit in the past two years after the team won their second straight World Series last year.

The Dodgers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays last November in a stunning Game 7 match that stretched 11 innings. Catcher Will Smith smashed the game-winning solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to seal the 5-4 win over the Blue Jays. 

The White House told Fox News that the visit will take place on July 23.

"President Trump is excited to welcome the Los Angeles Dodgers BACK to the White House to celebrate their World Series championship!" White House spokeswoman Taylor Rogers told the outlet.

The visit comes after the Dodgers declined to visit the White House in April while playing a series against the Washington Nationals, citing scheduling conflicts. July's trip occurs on an off day between series in Philadelphia (July 20–22) and New York (July 24–26).

“As was the case one year ago, the Dodgers’ upcoming visits to the White House and Capitol Hill follow the longtime tradition of visits by other World Series champions," the team told the California Post in a statement. "We appreciate these tributes in recognition of our back-to-back championships."

The visit also comes after the Dodgers visited the White House last year after defeating the New York Yankees in 2024. They became the first team to win back-to-back titles since the Yankees won three straight from 1998 to 2000.
