Vice President JD Vance said on Wednesday that the text of an interim agreement will be released to the public by Friday "at the latest." The White House, Vance added, is hoping to release it on Wednesday.

"We want to tell the American people what's in this deal," Vance said on "CBS Mornings."

President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that the U.S. had reached an agreement on a memorandum. This document has been signed digitally by both sides, and a formal signing ceremony is expected on Friday in Geneva, Switzerland.

Bloomberg published a draft of the memorandum on Tuesday, but both Iranian state media and Trump have said the leaked document isn't accurate.

Vance said the agreement would reopen the Strait of Hormuz "immediately" and provide a framework that would provide benefits to Iran if it agrees to end its nuclear weapons program. These benefits, he said, would include sanctions relief.
