Officials in New Hampshire this week said they had charged a young person with first-degree murder in the brutal killings of a mother and her two children in that state.

The New Hampshire Office of the Attorney General said in a press release that “a juvenile has been arrested and charged under the juvenile laws with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of falsifying physical evidence” in connection with an horrific triple murder that occured in Northfield, N.H., earlier this month.

Police in Aug. 3 discovered the bodies of Kassandra Sweeney, age 25, and her two sons , four-year-old Benjamin and one-year-old Mason, at their home in Northfield.

All three had been shot in the head.

The New Hampshire A.G.’s office noted that “since the alleged perpetrator is a juvenile, the law precludes any further information from being released.”
