The Beatles last new song 'Now and Then' released with the help of AI and archived recordings
AI was able to recreate the parts of songs of two of the deceased band members.
The Beatles released their final "new" song, "Now and Then" on Thursday with the use of artificial intelligence and old archived recordings.
It has been 60 years since Beatlemania swept the world, as AI was able to recreate the parts of two of the deceased band members.
Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and the late George Harrison all worked on "Now And Then" during the same sessions, but technological issues posed problems until recently, according to The Associated Press.
This will be the last "new" Beatles song released as part of a set of unreleased John Lennon demos that his former bandmates used to construct the songs "Free As a Bird" and "Real Love" in the 1990s.
Director Peter Jackson was able to separate Lennon's vocals from a piano in a recording, allowing McCartney and Starr to finish the song last year.
"There it was, John’s voice, crystal clear," McCartney said when the song was announced. "It’s quite emotional. And we all play on it, it’s a genuine Beatles recording. In 2023 to still be working on Beatles music, and about to release a new song the public haven’t heard, I think it’s quite an exciting thing."
