Joe Rogan says the First Amendment will be under threat if Harris becomes president
Rogan said that Rumble and X are good regarding free speech but that Harris is planning on cracking down on X owner Elon Musk.
Popular podcaster Joe Rogan warned that the First Amendment could be clamped down on if Vice President Kamala Harris wins the 2024 presidential election.
On his podcast, "The Joe Rogan Experience," Rogan interviewed Navy SEAL and CIA contractor Shawn Ryan in which they discussed free speech and concerns of a Harris presidency.
"I don't think it [censorship] turns around if Kamala Harris gets into office. I think they clamp down more," Rogan said, according to The Daily Mail.
He said that Rumble and X are good regarding free speech but that Harris is planning on cracking down on X owner Elon Musk.
"She openly discussed the need for the same rules to apply to Facebook and Twitter and the possibility that Elon could lose his privileges," Rogan said.
He went on to criticize Harris's running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz for his stance on the First Amendment.
"There are so many wild things that they are saying," Rogan stated. "Tim Walz said that the First Amendment doesn't apply to misinformation or hate speech. Okay, well, it certainly does."
